Step 1 : ตั้งค่า Hostname ,
IP address บน management และ dynamic interface (Hostname และ IP address ของทั้ง 2 ตัว จะต้องไม่เหมือนกัน)
- ตั้งค่า Hostname โดยไปที่ Controller > Genaral
- ตั้งค่า IP address บน Management Interface
- โดยไปที่ Controller > Interface แล้วเลือก Management Interface
Step 2 : ตั้งค่าให้ตัว Primary WLC ชี้ Backup ไปที่ Secondary
WLC
- ตั้งค่าที่ตัว Primary WLC โดยไปที่ Wireless > Access Point > Global Configuration ที่หัวข้อ High Availability ใส่ IP address และ Hostname ของ Secondary WLC
Note : สำหรับค่า Timeout สามารถทำความเข้าใจเพิ่มเติมได้ที่นี่ครับ >> WLC Heartbeat and Failure Detection Timeout <<Step 3 : ตั้งต่า Mobility Group ของ WLC ทั้ง 2 ตัวให้ตรงกัน

Primary WLC
Member IP Address : IP ของ Secondary WLC
Member MAC Address : MAC ของ Secondary WLC
Group Name : ตั้งให้เหมือนกับ Secondary WLC
Hash : none
Secondary WLC
Member IP Address : IP ของ Primary WLC
Member MAC Address : MAC ของ Primary WLC
Group Name : ตั้งให้เหมือนกับ Primary WLC
Hash : none
Step 4 : Enable HA SKU ตั้งค่าที่ตัว Secondary WLC ส่วนที่ตัว Primary WLC ให้ Disable
Secondary WLC
- โดยไปที่ Controller > General > HA SKU Secondary Unit แล้วเลือกเป็น Enable
Primary WLC
- โดยไปที่ Controller > General > HA SKU Secondary Unit แล้วเลือกเป็น Disable
Note : AP Fallback ถ้า Disable ไว้ เวลาที่ตัว Primary WLC กลับขึ้นมา Active ตัว AP จะไม่ยอมกลับไป Register กับตัว Primary WLC
Step 5 : ตั้งค่า HA บน Access Point ให้เลือกใช้ WLC โดยใส่ Primary Controller และ Secondary Controller
- โดยไปที่ Wireless > Access Point > All APs แล้วเลือก Access Point ไปที่แท็ป High Availability
Note : จะต้องทำที่ Access Point ทุกตัวที่ต้องการให้ใช้งาน HA
Step 6 : Save configuration ทั้งตัว Primary WLC และ Secondary WLC (อยู่ขวามือด้านบน)
Step 7 : Reboot ตัว Secondary WLC
- โดยไปที่ Command > Reboot
